Ymir BC, CGR Backcountry Touring Trip 2017

We headed east by northeast and after 7+ hours of driving we ended up in Ymir BC, closest real town is Nelson BC.

Amazing trip and some incredible snow but a higher touring to skiing ratio than I will look for in the future.

Taos Ski Trip New Mexico

Court and I headed for our anniversary trip to a pretty unique place to go skiing.  You don't often think of New Mexico and skiing as two things that would be very connected but totally worth checking out.  You have lift accessed skiing up to 12,500ft in elevation which is pretty cool but for those of us used to living in sea level beware!

We lucked out they had received around 30" of new snow earlier the week before we got there but the upper lift was only opened the day before we arrived!
